Saran Wrap Game

Add fun to any party with the saran wrap game! Perfect for kids and adults!

Are you looking for the perfect game to add to your upcoming holiday gathering? I have it! This is great for everyone! I was first introduced to it a few years ago and had so much fun! I started doing it at my sons birthday parties and this year I decided to add it to our family Christmas!

How to make the Saran ball

You can make the saran ball any size. I usually use anywhere from 300 ft to 500 ft for a decent size ball. I like to start with a round object at the center. You can also put your grand prize in the center. Whatever you choose to do.

Place your grand prize in the center and wrap it in saran wrap about 3-5 times. I like to cut it off every 3-5 wraps and start a new section so the game takes a little longer and is more fun and interesting! After that you just keep wrapping and adding prizes, cutting it every so often. It super fun to make. This year I made one for the kids and one for the adults.

Gift ideas for inside

You can add all kinds of little trinkets and gifts inside. Some things I buy individually and other things I buy as a pack and open up to spread out. Here's some ideas to get you started:

For the Adults

  • Small hand sanitizers and lotions

  • Gift cards

  • Lottery tickets

  • S clips (We're outdoors people and always need these)

  • Fishing lures

  • Hand warmers

  • Socks

  • Candy

  • Vinyl stickers

  • Beef jerky

  • Bath bombs

For the Kids

  • Erasers

  • Hot Wheels

  • Craft supplies

  • Candy

  • Money

  • Change

  • Lego Mini-figures

  • Stickers

  • Playdoh

  • Bath toys

  • Finger puppets

  • Temporary tattoos

Whatever you do, have fun with it!

How to Play

You can play the game a few different ways. I've included a download for printable cards to help with the game.

Everyone sits in a circle - you can choose who you want to go first. Roll the dice, by age, however you choose. The first way to play is to hide the printable cards throughout the ball to make it challenging as you go, or you can draw from the deck and that's your card for your turn.

Whoever goes first starts to unwrap the saran ball, while the person sitting clockwise to them rolls 2 dice. When they roll doubles the person with the ball has to give it to the person rolling, and the dice goes clockwise. Every time doubles are rolled the ball is passed.

Other items you will need to play the game can include:

  • Saran wrap

  • Scissors

  • Blindfold

  • Oven mitts or socks to put over your hands

Most importantly, have fun with it! Holidays and special occasions are about creating memories with the people you love!
