10 Things the Bible Says About Faith

Updated: Oct 28, 2021

1 - If you do not stand firm in your faith you will not stand at all. Isaiah 7:9 Our faith will be tested, we will have trials, we will have pain, such is life. It is so important to keep our faith strong.

2- The righteous will live by his faith - Habakkuk 2:4 We can make our life decisions based off our faith. We can let the Holy Spirit guide us through life and live by faith.

3- We should not worry but put our faith in God because He knows our needs. Matthew 6:25-34 is one of my favorite passages when my anxiety gets to high. Reading this just brings a calming energy to my soul. God's got this! Have faith!

4- Our faith can heal us! Matthew 9:18-25. I can personally attest to this. Going thru the pain of ending a marriage I turned to God, and my faith grew and grew. With God by my side I was able to heal, don't get me wrong, it was a long and painful process but my faith helped me heal.

5- If you have faith as small as a mustard seed you can move mountains!! Matthew 17:20. I think this is so true. For months I've heard the Spirit telling me to start this blog and I had doubts and worries. Lord I'm not a writer, Lord I hate the spotlight and social media etc. etc. But I put just a little faith in what I was asked to do. To share my story in case it helped one other soul find their faith and God moved all the obstacles out of the way.

6- We will do great things through our faith. John 14:12-14 Jesus is telling us He's going home to his Father and those that have faith and ask in His name will do great things on earth to further His name.

7- God will purify our hearts thru faith. Acts 15:9 It says "He made no distinction between us and them for He purified their hearts through faith." Isn't that wonderful. God doesn't care about your past, He cares about your faith moving forward.

8- Righteousness comes through faith. Romans 3:22-26. There is a lot about faith in the book of Romans and I encourage you to read it if you can. But this passage talks about how we are all undeserving of God's love and forgiveness. We have all sinned, but through our faith we are able to be children of God.

9- 1 Corinthians 13. I know what you're thinking...this passage is about love, and it is! The last verse in this passage says "these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." So it seems like God places a pretty high importance on these 3 things. With faith and hope we can love correctly because we know the love of Christ.

10- We live by faith not by sight. 2 Corinthians 2:7. As long as we're here on this earth our belief in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is through our faith.

My prayer for all that are reading this is that your faith grows abundantly.

In faith, love and hope,

Liz
